Elizabethtown,KY | My dad spent his last 5 years in a nursing home after his stroke and the fact that his dementia/Alzhiemer's was making more than mom and I could handle at home, especially her. He got to where he napped off and on all day and then she would call me about 9 or so each evening when I had just gotten in to come and help her get him in bed, it was wearing on both of us.
She has been in assisted living for 2 1/2 years, thankfully her mind is still good.
There are some really nice and caring staff in many of these places and I thank God for them!
