When checking the reverser belt for tension. Run the back shaft as slow as you can. Then check for a gap in the reverser pulley. Should have at least 1/8 gap. If not raise the tension pulley till you have the gap. This will put correct tension on the belt and should work fine unless there is other mechanical problems. I.e. cam gears wore, upper sheave drive grooves, or poor tension spring due heat fatigue.
