Having grain bins made me enough money in 1988 to buy my first farm. Having them enabled me to sell 2 years worth of crops for 7.50 in 2012 and pay for a half section of ground with cash. Some people dont understand that or simply rather dump the grain at harvest whether and sit in the house in the winter. PS. Some years like this and 1986 are good years to store unsold bushels and some years bins are good for basis improvement and carry in the market. If you dont have bins, you have neither option.
