$1.03 a bu? You can't get a cash price that much better can you? If you are talking the futures contract then how are you going to lock that $1.03 in? That carry may not stay there and could even go inverted at some point. Bins pay when you lock in a strong carry or get lucky.


Basis might even be better. Either talk to your elevator about doing a futures fix or hta and if they won't do it you could sell a contract on the futures market to hedge the physical in your bin. Yes, it would work if you locked it in. That's why you have to have a plan, you can't make it work if you just bin and hope it stays there.
