NE South Dakota | We run AMW and use the quick survey, but to maintain accuracy through the whole job you need to set a control point and go back to that site every day at start up. Make it something that won't move. We've used a culvert and the center of the road, or 10' from a electric box, etc. We put the glove over this point so it doesn't matter which way the plow and tractor are aimed.
With a self propelled (slow moving) plow, I have a control point for the field, but when I shut down at the end of the day I create a new control point, then in the morning before I move the plow I grab that control point. This avoids me having to drive across the field to the original control point.
I think if you don't use a control point you'll be disappointed how the lines are off.
