Tuscola, IL | Same here. We didn't even have a cart until a few years ago. Got it and got rid of one truck. Then got rid of straight truck and went to semi. Still have times where combine and cart are both full. 6 row head with two people. Too many people underestimate an auger cart even without someone to run it. I think too many people over emphasize keeping the combine moving. Make sure you have the equipment to finish YOUR harvest in a timely manner and don't worry so much. I truly enjoy harvest. I'd love to farm more, but not so much that the combine sitting for ten minutes made me go out and buy another truck or second auger cart. | |
