Subject: raking alfalfa

NW Iowa
We have a few acres of alfalfa windrows that are bone dry on top and quite wet underneath in spots. Raking during the day would cost a lot of leaves. Thought we'd rake it while damp tomorrow morning. This morning's dew was quite heavy. How damp is too damp?
