Late last fall 700 acres sold within a few miles of me and I would say it is off 1000 dollars per acre from a couple of years ago. One 300 acre estate was appraised at 7200 but the family didn't accept an offer at the appraised value, and instead took it to auction a year later. They lost 1000 dollars per acre but let it sell.
