Central Minnesota | What people are asking around here, and what they are being offered or actually getting are two different stories.
Know of one farm that's been for sale for close a year now. Tried selling it many different ways. Sealed bid, online auction, and now it's privately listed. Asking 7500.. No offers on it.
Another farm. 141 acres. 2 fields. Decent ground was on online auction last November, 101 acre parcel went for 4200, and 40 acres went for 4700. No sale. Estate wants 6000/acre. Now it's listed with realtor for 5800. Still no offers.
Have a landlord that wants to sell. Wants taxable value for whole property. 130 acres with building site, abandoned gravel pit, RIM ground, CRP, and 94 tillable acres. Wants what tax value is.
People around here are a couple years late to the game. A few years back they would get what they were asking. Now, nobody wants to pay that kind of money. Bank keeps bugging me to put an offer in on the one farm, but just not comfortable yet. | |
