Not sure if that's what he meant but its a big part of what has to happen. And it starts with people walking away from high dollar cash rent and their neighbor NOT jumping in and paying up just to gain some more acres. Also someone on here earlier mentioned high equipment costs and shop repair rates. Newsflash, farmers are actually going to have to get dirty again and do some of their own maintence, and yes this means not trading that combine every year. The dealer I used to work at has some older guys that say its pathetic how much stuff comes in just for servicing now days; used to stuff didn't come to the shop unless it was for an in depth repair....
some of us never stopped getting dirty or working on our junk or working side jobs the same ones we had before the good times. But I'm gonna tell you even with that you aren't immune. You get a good butt kicking like li did last year.
