mercer county, il | yep 3-6 from the 2nd trifoliate on, we rarely ever spray it alone, and put 4oz on, any more seems to hold the alfalfa back and can cause rotational issues
check your soil ph, if it is low, put on some lime, but if you are going to seed this fall put on 25lb of N to get the alfalfa going, the low PH stunts the alfafa and causes nodulation issues and the N is a band aid until it develops it root system (low PH sands are a fast teacher) | |
