1.44 oz will just make them mad 3-6oz is the rate, and if it is still small add some buctril
thunder is the generic of pursuit, $260/gal from wholesaler

I wouldn't mess with them if you plant later this fall they will not be a problem, put down a pre and butrac+thunder in the spring.

and if it was an old cow lot working it will just bring more seeds to the surface, if it was me I would do a grass hay crop for a few years to use up the nitrates and be able to control the broadleafs, then once it is cleaned up no till alfalfa on it, every time you stir it up it will bring up more weeds.
