Subject: RE: Cat C15 jake brake question

Garrett County, MD
Everything else seems to work but yes i guess it could be the ecm but that would hurt the pocket!

The problem with too much power in my area is the hills. Seems these souped up trucks cant hold the exhaust temp at bay long enough when pulling a good grade for 15 or 20 minutes straight. Even with big turbos.

From what i gather thing had some sort of pdi stage one flash and a camshaft and snazzy turbo. Maybe if i was driving and watching gauges it might have been ok but with employees it needs to be bullettproof. Now it is stock 550 flash with the proper inj codes, cat cam and a bigger custom turbo we run on most of these 3406s that really keeps them cool and only lags the acceleration a little. Cant go over 900 post turbo on a hard pull if you tried. I could run iUp over 1000 on the stock cat turbo.

Just trying to figure out the jake issue, think it could be ecm?
