northeastern Ohio | Stay away from LG. I bought a french door with the freezer on the bottom. I like the unit, but the compressor failed at 2 years old. Called LG and they gave me a list of "authorized" service centers. The nearest one was an hour away and they would not come to my area. So I called Sears, which is where I bought the unit. They sent a guy out two days later. He diagnosed as a bad compressor. Had to order one. Took two weeks. The $500 compressor was covered under warranty, but the service call was $300. What a rip off!!!!!!!!! Paid $1200 for the fridge. Two weeks of down time. I hope you can find something better.
I think the ultimate solution is to build an insulated walk-in pantry with a commercial refrigeration unit......... | |
