Yes they can bloat. If you're not wanting to feed every day, I understand... then I would get them worked up to it and switch to some sort of self feeder where they have free choice.
But if you hand feed doing a delivery equivalent to multiple days feed, they will gorge themselves if you allow the bunk to get empty for very long.
