I have done it for many years. But make sure to top dress the feed with a high calcium low phosphorus mineral at the labeled rate and should get along fine. So could he put a bunch in the feed bunk (say feed everyother day) ? I think what he's after is to be able to feed them say late friday, go camping then feed them again sunday that way he'd only need some one to make sure the waterer is working. |
