Southeast WI | There's a lot of variables to look at when comparing fields so it's hard to pinpoint what's going on. Do they have the same rotation, long term tillage practices, fertility levels, time of rye kill and on. Any of these things can affect what you're observing. This year under dry conditions ive seen fields with opt fert levels show K defic after rye and no issues in the notill without cover strips on one clients farm. It's come out of it now but has slowed the corn growth. One example. | |
