Robert W Greif - 6/25/2016 15:25    First off was the cross bar available in both Cat 2 and Cat 3?

Second is it as handy as I seem to think it would be? .

First off, I had both Cat 2 and Cat 3 round bars for my cyclo planters.  Since rear lift assist wheels raised the back, they were handy to hook up.  Only problem was you backed up to the planter to just the right place, put the PTO hydraulic pump on, and hooked up the hoses.  Then you could get back on the tractor and back up to the hitch.  You could lift the planter and move it where it was easier to put in the bottom pins.  Still, it was a big job to get everything lined up, but easier than having to put the holes of the lift bar in lift pins.

Second question was answered above, it was handy, if you didn't have to hook up the PTO pump, it would have been handier.  Where it worked well was on the cultivator, had a flat fold 12-30 vibra-tine.  Somehow I ended up with two Cat 2 bars, and 2 Cat 3 bars when I had my sale in 2003.
