If you weren't worried about resale of the tractor you could just shorten the the 3 point arm the amount needed to keep it the same when you add the hooks, but I suppose you would have to make new holes for the pins too. On some tractors it wouldn't be too hard to make new lower 3 point arms that were shorter.
