Dave Cen.Ia - 6/16/2016 21:52 Loran- A little different train of thought and I know you will have an opinion. Do you, or anyone else with cover crop experience, think that covers eat up residue? We are full width tillage here for the most part and I fought bean straw all spring until I got to my cover fields. There were other issues there (I am learning the hard way) but plugging the field cultivator with bean straw was not an issue where cover was seeded.

Just a question but how and when was your cover crop seeded?

I think a drill after harvest would have a similar effect as running a super coulter type tool to pin the residue to the dirt.
