Driftless SW Wisconsin
If trit is like winter rye you can plant it after wheat and get good fall and spring grazing or after beans or corn silage and get good spring grazing. Both provide good soil cover over the fall winter and early spring. At least here in SW Wisconsin. There was not enough growth for fall grazing when I planted it in mid Sept here.
