Breckenridge, MI | We planted 15 acres of Triticale and peas last year in the first week of may and it was ready (boot stage) on the 21st of June which was the day we left for our honeymoon so it was another week before it got cut. During that week we got some good storms and a fair amount lodged. I would cut it as soon as you see the heads starting to come out and then either bale and wrap or chop and pack. Even with the lodging we got about 2.25 DM tons/acre.
