North Central Illinois | You are correct Tara. Very rarely does drought spread from the east into the cornbelt. Not to say we can't have a drought here in the Midwest but it won't be because it started in the east. It does actually have the feel of an eastern cornbelt drought in the making but time will tell. A very warm and dry wind blowing here today with few prospects for rain. We are fine moisture wise for now but I hate to get in a pattern of missing rains. Time will tell as always. | |
