Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80 | jd43 - 5/7/2016 07:37 The planter I have now has no insecticide boxes on it. I never used them for insecticide anyway but sure do miss them to rest those heavy seed bags on while filling the seed box. At least you can put 160,000 seeds per box and only stop to refill half as often on the 35 lb. ones ! I cut some plywood to fit over the area, where insecticide boxes use to be mounted(JD 7200), and just used two rear carriage bolts and serrated flange nuts to hold on plywood = nice flat surface to set stuff or bags. I used carriage bolts, so the smooth rounded head, on top of plywood, wouldn't cut any bags, if I set them there. { A big 1/4" machine screw (with screwdriver slot) would have worked, also} |
