Subject: RE: Question for those raising grassfed beef

I wouldnt have a problem giving a pound of cracked corn once a month to a 'grass-fed/grass-finished' animal to keep him tame. If you want to use something else use alfalfa pellets. They will eat em up like candy but they arent cheap so use them only when you need and not on a daily basis. Good luck, and get some facilities together. It will make things a lot easier. Even if its just some t-posts and 16' wire cattle panels, its better than nothing. Once you make a few $$$ then upgrade. Good handling facilities make the job so much easier and way less stressful on you and the cattle and that's worth every penny.
