When you get in the back of my Quad cab Ram and into the new 4 door Rams, the leg room is the same. A mega cab would be nice, but I'm not finding a lot of them.
Are you sure you aren't comparing an old quad cab to a new quad cab? We just upgraded from an 07 quad to a 12 crew and the crew is huge compared to the quad.
