| Seems quite reasonable to me. My almost three year old has to clean up his toys every night on his own and "helps" his mama clean and do laundry. If they always have had to clean up after themselves they will not expect anyone else to do it for them when they get older. That was what my mom and dad did with us and it worked out great. I will also add that they did not believe in "man's work" and "woman's work". She taught me to cook, clean, and do laundry the same as they taught my sister to take care of the yard and the farm.. Their reasoning was they wanted us to WANT a spouse, not NEED a spouse to be able to survive.
