just a tish NE of central ND | Not only internet, but in person too......Aunt and uncle at their dads estate auction discussed an old vintage wall clock. Aunt says to her little brother,I never bought on auction before in my life so can you buy it for me? Brother says sure, When the item came up she and he were side beside and as bids were taken aunt would shake her head to her brother to keep bidding if anyone else raised the bid.
Auctioneer took both of them bidding repeatedly until it finally sold (to her brother)for much more than she would have paid if she would have just stood still and not nodded to her brother. She just didn't understand She still got it, still paid for it, but never did they figure out that they were the only 2 doing any of the bidding. |
