WC IL | Was at a benefit auction where there was some seed for sale. Seems everybody was just looking for a bargain on seed, so a friend and I (both of us had donated seed for the auction) stood side by side and ran up all the seed to what it was worth. Auctioneer wanted to know if we were together. Made a few of the guys wanting cheap seed mad, same guys that were paying $75 for a $30 wrench, but thought the seed should be stolen. My friend and I each planted several company's seed that year, and I don't think either of us has donated seed for an auction since, we find something else to donate. | |
