Subject: RE: Explain the Steerable Front Axle To Me

Had 2 for about 10'years, thought we needed them to cultivate, soon learned we didn't. Sort of herky jerky to drive, front turntable would turn 6 degrees hit limit then go on to articulate in the middle. When you straightened up it would articulate to what it sensed was straight then the front turntable would kick in and start steering again. Not real smooth.

We normally just lined it up straight and then turned it off. Couple times a day we would have to turn the front steer on again and line it up and turn it off again.

Hard to imagine you would need it row crop farming. We pulled 12 row planter, ridge till 12 row cultivator and 1000 but grain cart.
