Yeah, you are most likely right. The reason we did it this way is because 15 years ago dad painted one set of rims with a rattle can and they held up (besides the salt eating away at the paint) for that long. We have another set of duals to do yet, would you suggest trying the primer on them first? Really not too worried about it, they are made for work but I just like to make them look good.
