I understand what you are saying but the reality of your situation is minor compared to the other reasons most bankruptcy happen. it hasn't triggered bankruptcy. It's the easy way out for medical bills people were to lazy to make payments on. Debtor prison is illegal for unpaid loans period. Now if you file and commit fraud by hiding assets that's a different story.
