s nd | Sorry guys, that was probably my fault for saying I would be in a straight jacket if I buried grain in the ground. And I probably would be. Guess they know what they're doing. I've have trouble selling two day old barley, let alone four year old. Then again, since I started in 80, I've never put my income on the ground for the weather to dictate the outcome. We use to swath the barley and wheat up here to dry it out. Then talk to the million corn growers who were praying for rain at the same time. Parked the swather and never used it again on wheat or barley. When I was done, go help the neighbor that windrowed his barley and dig it out of the dirt. Just wasn't for me. And I was trying to be a bit funny, maybe the trench guy didn't care for that. I need to keep my sense of humor for 35 years of farming in this corner. | |
