The only speed comparison I can tell you is with my own setup and it is a lot more than your speed. I have 30 Mbps download and 15 or 20 Mbps upload. What this translates to for an actual download is somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.5-2 MBps download over wireless (notice the Mb with the MB, there is a difference if you didn't know). With a wired connection into my router I'm closer to about 4 MBps download. This is with Time Warner, and I'm in a city.
