North Central Illinois | I hear you man. I hear you. He's no Boy Scout for sure. Can only hope he gets his act together. As you point out there is a very real chance that won't happen. It's too bad too because there is an amazing amount of talent there. I'm just bothered by the fact that everyone considers him a "thug" because of his head gear and his college days. As I said, he is definitely no Boy Scout. A few folks here are using the term "thug" because somehow that has become whitespeak for any black person who doesn't dress, speak, and act in accordance with the rules they have set up in their mind for human behavior. There certainly are plenty of genuine thugs out there but one does not become one because they wear the wrong thing on their head or they are a sore loser. I see our Blackhawks coach stormed out of a press conference last night. I'm guessing he won't catch as much heat as Newton. | |
