Dearfield Co. | If the hemet isn't removed that is a sign of disrespect for the winning team, The CO high school athletic association was very vocal about it when the kids were in HS and playing football. I thought BS but asked around and the custom is for both teams to remove their helmets to show sportsmanship. The kids coach always said it was just a statement of how you felt like you were better than the other players and didn't want to show any respect since removing the helmet took a nano second
same thing with nascar and NHRA----------------
