I've pulled an 8 row-30" JD 7000 no tilling into cornstalks with a 40 hp JD 5200 MFWD, didn't even break a sweat.
Not the normal setup, but proved it can be done. No starter fertilizer attachments or anything, just planter with row cleaners.
4 row planter - how much HP needed ?
