Central Alberta | Freeze-thaw will jimmy the heck out of a concrete foundation, unless you put pilings under it. A thicker concrete pour will stand up better than a thin one too. Also, if the floor isn't heated, it is likely to crack eventually from the temperature fluctuations, which could lead to slipping and shifting of the floor.
Why not just use pilings and forget the floor for now? You could always pour a floor later if you want to spend the money.
