You didn't come off that way at all and your absolutely correct, the foundation guy will either make your job go very well or very bad. We used to do poured walls in the past and it's a shame as to how many guys just do a crap job and charge way too much. Where I am located a 9' foundation wall runs about 70-80 a linear foot at 8" thick and a 4' foundation wall at 8" thick is about 40-50 a linear foot and both include footings and rebar. Quality does come at a price and the initial cost expensive but adding length or height is where the savings can been seen easier like in red iron buildings.

I'm glad you replied, it's nice to see others with like minded thoughts.
