| When we were into to Ag Buildings we were always working off a 50 year life cycle, which some would say is to long or to short, but depending on how the farm is set up as far as a layout of building and general flow of traffic, it makes sense that the main essential building be built to stand 100 years, but any out buildings, sheds or misc structures be built with an expected time frame in mind. Every farmer I know has tore down and rebuilt building due to the new generation wanting to change the flow of the "base" farm layout. Again it all comes down to what the building will be used for and what your wanting out of it's life cycle. | |
