Memphis tv station reported yesterday that it would crest on 1-8-16 at 41 ft........4th largest.......I think 2011 came in 2nd of all time
4-7 feet lower than 2011 is the latest projection. Lots of the north Memphis neighborhoods will flood as it backs out into the rivers and ditches. Plenty of houses standing empty from the 2011 flood so I doubt it'll have near the impact '11 did. Exxon already closed their terminal on Presidents Island. In '11 they had one tank start to float. |
