North Central Illinois | Gotta get through the two transition years though. If a guy is going to grow alfalfa for conventional livestock, this could really work well. Load up on fertility in the first alfalfa year, harvest alfalfa for two years without doing anything to transition, then organic corn, organic soybeans, organic wheat, then go back to alfalfa for a few years. Use manure during the organic years for fertility. | |
