Spring Grove MN | Tried this on some acres as a test here. 15 years no-till but corn on beans usually. In my experience, ride quality of your planter units will be crap unless you are under 3mph or you run a disc or something to fill in the holes some but they are still loose. I did not see enough yield advantage to pay for the trip. I did not see an ROI for the my test on 50 acres (some corn or corn, some corn or beans). I would say not to do it unless you have compaction issues and then possibly an in-line ripper. | |
