Macon, IL | Next year this will be beans, 40 acres, this stuff was a jungle. Had high school kids out last 2 years helping me cut out locust trees by the hundreds. Rats nest of 5ft tall concoction of something that was supposed to attract birds.
Anyway-I got it mowed down with batwing last fall, sprayed with heavy rate of Roundup and 2-4d. Will do the same again in March-maybe mix in something else-probably valor because I am too afraid of being unable to close trench behind planter I don't want to spray it after planting like most farms.
Anyway-was wondering if you thought there would be any value in putting on half or full rate of insecticide (Aztec or Force) with the planter? Obviously on used insecticide in corn-but thinking this may be worth it.
