Well if you need meat and you want to hunt in Montana You can do the slow elk hunt here :) I have some real nice open or very late bred heifers that could be slow elk :) I am guessing you are hunting in North Dakota but if you come to Montana, Out of state fees are high .
I have a Montana tag every year. Since I am only 20 miles from the border I jump over a lot of evenings and go deer hunting. Just looking to go farther west this year and fill the freezer again with a cow elk. Yes tags are expensive in MT now. And it shows since they have leftover tags every year. Not as many people applying for them after the big price increase a couple years ago. |
