As a child I watched a lady that had 3 feral cats in the same type situation. She fell and the coroner said the cats ate her wile she was still alive. My dad discovered her when he went to renew a land lease and she hadn't answered the phone. So even though her being in the right mind might not be the best thoughts for her well being in the end.
