| If I were to guess, the MIL can't terminate the lease by herself. So I'm guessing the oral lease stays in place unless she can convince a judge otherwise...basically maintain status quo. Believe it or not the son is in the advantageous position because he wants to maintain status quo, its the MIL who want to change status quo.
So I'll bet that you will be able to rent the farm as you have been until both the MIL and son agree to do something....whatever that may be.
MIL might be in deep dodo for misrepresenting the son with that lease termination....that is called fraud where I come from. | |
