sw MN

9670guy - 9/2/2015 20:28 we also indice much of it ourselves by over applying highly available nutrients in excess. Do you think that could be the case with sulfur? I'm refering to applying 1 ton of gypsum.[/QUOTE I have never found this to be the case. Many times it is caused by under applying nutrients. What is the calcium, mag, and k level in these fields? What is the cec?

I wouldn't put 1 ton of gypsum on a soil with less than a 25 cec. 1/2 ton is enough for a 12 cec.
