Corn is king here. Everything thing is geared for a corn/bean rotation with a few acres of wheat or hay mixed in here and there. A couple guys still raise oats for feed mills, but that is getting less and less. I asked about growing barley for feed at the local extension office as Purdue developed an Indiana hybrid back in the day, and was asked why the "h" I would want to do that. I know there are guys in Indiana raising feed barley for their own use and double cropping after it. With all our irrigation and lack of water in other parts of the country, we do have more and more veggies moving back to this area.
