Why is it that us in the great white north, have more crops to rotate than the guys in the sweet spots of the us. Is it just climate related or is it just hard headedness? On our farm we have 6 different crops this year and could easily have another 6options if we wanted. You get to the east side of nd and anywhere south and east of there its corn and beans every year.
Profits? For grains and oilseeds pretty hard to beat corn and soys for money on good ground/weather. Our little area has everything from rowcrops-vineyards-orchards-processing crops-vegetables-greenhouses-legal grow ops |
